Sony Ericsson Vivaz 2 get noticed by Android 2.3 onboard

The successor to the Sony Ericsson Vivaz has undergone and looks set to conduit Symbian for Google’s Android OS. The handset looks set to land in April 2011.

HP PalmPad first pictures emerge

The first pictures of the Palm-powered tablet have emerged courtesy of a tipster. The first is codenamed Topaz and will be the 9-inch variation, while the Opal will be its 7-inch little brother.

Dell Streak cost got deduct by its latest tablet

Dell has gone ahead and slashed the price of its Dell Streak Android tablet, by a whopping $180 ahead of the flurry of new tablets expected to hit the market next month.

New Nokia C6-01: A multitude of useful features

Nokia released a C6 smart phone earlier this year, but this edition, renowned only by that 01 suffix, is in fact very different.

Nokia N8 is running iOS

The Nokia N8 leads the way in lots of areas, not least for its Symbian ^3 operating system. It seems like a Chinese company has other ideas, however, with a handset that looks distrustfully like the N8, boasting an operating system that looks warily like iOS!

White BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now avail at Rogers

As expected, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now available in white on Rogers. That’ll pair up nicely with the white Bold 9780 that Rogers will be launching in good time. Bell will have a red 9800 if you’re not digging the white. There are no white outside of Rogers by the looks of it.

It has a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with flash, 624 MHz processor, and 512 MB of RAM. It runs RIM’s new operating system that includes universal search from the home screen, a Webkit browser, and a bunch of UI enhancements. Read the rest of this entry »

Sony Ericsson X12 / Anzu with Android Gingerbread rumored

Sony Ericsson has been lately coming out with a different type of names (Aino, Satio, Idou etc.), even though the simpler alternative name comes as the next number in the series of the product. But you can look at it as the next Xperia model, i.e. X12. This was leaked yesterday, and the design is claimed to be almost similar to the Droid X, having a big display of 4.3 and porting a HDMI output. Leaving the design aside, this would be the first Xperia model which would cross the bars of Android 2.1 and is supposedly coming in with Android 2.3 i.e. Gingerbread.As Gingerbread’s estimated release date is 1st quarter of 2011, the Sony Ericsson Anzu is rumored to be out during or after that phase. Android gets fashionable

Samsung and Giorgio Armani are making another go at creating a designer cell phone, reports. Like their original collaboration, the Samsung Armani, the new handset will offer a touch screen and multimedia features, but it will ditch Windows Mobile 6.5, Armani’s operating system of choice on last year’s Samsung smartphone, in favor of Android.
