Those who are in search of “Facebook phone” can expect this phone any time soon, as the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa won’t be releasing before June 17th. As per sources, both these smartphones will release date in second Quarter of this year.
Although both these phone’s have the Facebook branded keys and deep social integration, they are worlds in terms of hardware. The HTC ChaCha has a QWERTY device, with a full physical keypad along with a 2.6 inch 480 x 320 touchscreen display. It also has an Android 2.3 OS, 600MHz processor with 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, a VGA videocall camera, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and 512MB of internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB through microSD.
The HTC Salsa is a fully-touchscreen gadget that has a 3.4 inch 480 x 320 display. Like its sibling, it will feature Android 2.3 OS, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with flash, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and 512MB of internal memory with room to expand. The prices details for the HTC ChaCha and Salsa are still to be released.
